Securing Election Infrastructure Against the Tactics of Foreign Malign Influence Operations

This joint product helps election infrastructure stakeholders better understand the tactics of foreign malign influence operations and best practices to mitigate their impact. 

For years, America’s adversaries have targeted U.S. elections as part of their foreign malign influence operations to weaken U.S. global standing, sow discord inside the United States, influence U.S. voters and decision making, and undermine the security of U.S. critical infrastructure. We expect 2024 to be no different. CISA, ODNI, and FBI developed this joint product to inform critical infrastructure stakeholders, especially election infrastructure stakeholders, on the tactics of foreign malign influence operations and best practices to mitigate their impact.
