Description
Established in 2018, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Cyber Clinic is helping to raise the cybersecurity baseline of New England’s urban critical infrastructure. Through the clinic, student teams work directly with municipalities and hospitals across New England to assess their cyber risk and recommend practical, low-cost steps to reduce their vulnerabilities.
Services provided: Cyber assessment services.
Request Services and Volunteer
- Criteria to Request Services:
- The MIT Cyber Clinic offers free cyber assessment services to municipalities and hospitals in New England. The clinic works with MA Executive Office of Technology Services and Security (EOTSS) and MassCyberCenter to highlight its services to qualifying entities.
- Request Services:
- Email Professor Larry Susskind at susskind@mit.edu or Dr. Jungwoo Chun at jwchun@mit.edu if you are a New England municipality or hospital seeking a cyberattack vulnerability assessment.
- Criteria to Volunteer:
- Must be a student registered at MIT, Harvard, or Wellesley.
- Must complete MITx Cybersecurity for Critical Urban Infrastructure and pass the certification exam.
- Must participate in the for-credit Cybersecurity Clinic course.
- Apply to Volunteer:
- Enroll in the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP) Cybersecurity Clinic course.
