Infrastructure Security Division
Mission
CISA’s Infrastructure Security Division (ISD) leads the national effort to secure critical infrastructure from all hazards by managing risk and enhancing resilience through collaboration with the critical infrastructure community.
Overview
ISD coordinates and collaborates across government and the private sector. The Division conducts and facilitates vulnerability and consequence assessments to help critical infrastructure owners and operators and state, local, tribal, and territorial partners understand and address risks to critical infrastructure. It also provides information on emerging threats and hazards so that appropriate actions can be taken, as well as tools and training to help partners in government and industry manage the risks to their assets, systems, and networks.

Security Programs delivers expertise and essential guidance to public and private sector stakeholders to build security capacity to address the dynamic threat environment.
CISA Exercises
CISA Exercises conducts cyber and physical security exercises with government and industry partners to enhance the security and resilience of critical infrastructure.
Bombing Prevention
OBP leads DHS efforts to enhance the nation’s ability to prevent, protect against, respond to, and mitigate the use of explosives.
Infrastructure Assessments & Analysis
IAA executes collaborative programs that enable collecting, protecting, analyzing, and sharing vital and relevant information on critical infrastructure to strengthen security and enhance resilience.
Chemical Security
Through regulation and voluntary initiatives, Chemical Security enhances security and resilience across the chemical industry to reduce the risk of hazardous chemicals being weaponized.
School Safety
School Safety strengthens schools’ safety and security through development and promotion of products and resources designed for the K-12 community.
Planning and Innovation
Planning & Innovation drives integrated planning, data, and technology solutions to address the nation’s most pressing critical infrastructure security and resilience challenges.
