The Bomb Threat Management (BTM) Planning Course provides participants foundational knowledge on the DHS risk management process and bomb threat management planning. It gives participants the opportunity to apply this knowledge to develop a bomb threat management plan.

This one-day Instructor-Led Training (ILT) covers the following topics:

  • DHS risk management process
  • Roles and responsibilities of the bomb threat management team
  • BTM Plan components
  • Developing a BTM plan

Certifications & Accreditations

  • The Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to award Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for this course: 0.7 CEU.  
  • OBP is a preferred provider for the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM). This authorizes emergency managers (EM) to utilize this course toward the training requirements to maintain EM credentials.
