Protective Measures Awareness Course (AWR-340)
Description
The Protective Measures Awareness Course introduces how to identify and mitigate facility security gaps. This course provides an overview of risks, the DHS Risk Management Process, and types of protective measures, and considerations for selecting protective measures to mitigate risk.
This one-hour Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) covers the following topics:
- Overview of risks
- Department of Homeland Security risk management process
- Determining the appropriate protective measures
- Physical, procedural and intelligence protective measures
Certifications & Accreditations
- The Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to award Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for this course: 0.1 CEU.
- This course is nationally certified by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) organization for in-service Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST).
