Surveillance Detection Principles Course (AWR-940)
Description
The Surveillance Detection Principles Course provides participants with a topical knowledge and introductory skills to recognize hostile surveillance at facilities and events, and foundational knowledge for planning and responding appropriately.
This four-hour Virtual Instructor-led Training (VILT) covers the following topics:
- Hostile Operations and the terrorist attack cycle
- Detecting hostile surveillance activity
- Vulnerability assessments and surveillance
- Hostile surveillance red zones and positions
- Five elements of a surveillance detection plan
Certifications & Accreditations
- The Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to award Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for this course: 0.4 CEU.
- This course is nationally certified by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) organization for in-service Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST).
- OBP is a preferred Continuing Professional Education (CPE) provider for the ASIS International. This course counts toward training requirements to maintain security certifications.
